We are so proud to announce that we have been awarded Kent's Best Florist 2023.

Created in 2020, The Cove was started as a new high street concept combining beautiful floristry, locally-made artisan products and experiential workshops. We wanted to showcase our approach to bespoke flower bouquet creation, alongside allowing artisan brands not normally available on the high street to connect to new consumers. Since starting in the wake of covid, we are proud to have grown year on year and – inspired by our ambition to help everyone make a discovery – partner with incredible (and local) makers and creators.

Winning Muddy Stilettos Best Florist in Kent 2023 in June this year really celebrated what we had achieved. We thought therefore that to celebrate this great award, and to reflect back on three years of being in business in Tunbridge Wells, we’d throw a little party!

On Saturday August 19th 2023, we wanted to be able to demonstrate to the local community what The Cove stands for: providing fun, learning workshops where someone can discover a new skill (our buttonhole flower workshop for example), alongside viewing bouquets being created throughout the day by our team. In addition, it was important that we could include other local businesses, and were proud that both the Tunbridge Wells Cheese Shop and Beal’s Farm Charcuterie were in attendance, alongside the incredible Bluebell Vineyard who partnered with us to provide a free 2 hour wine tasting experience where they showcased their English award-winning wines. 

We’re a small and mighty business, so helping customers gain an understanding that we offer Kent's finest hand-made flower creations alongside the opportunity to discover new artisan products (such as gin, rum, wine, homewares etc) as well attending our workshops was amazing!

Did you know? The Cove is fully licensed, and increasingly we are being booked for complete take-over events where upwards of 30 people attend to taste and enjoy the wide range of products we stock. With more partnerships building, people can come to The Cove to taste the latest sparkling Rose 2023 has to offer, alongside charcuterie and more. Everything is tailored to your request.

Muddy Stilettos operate throughout the UK. Unique in that its awards are voted for by the public and community, we are proud to have reached the Best Florist in Kent finals in all years that we have been open. To have won the award this year, based on when we started and the challenges undertaken, has been a huge honour. By being voted for by our customers, it reflects the quality of service that we strive to deliver.  

What does the enxt year have to offer?

With recognition for our floristry we want this area of our business to continue to grow. Led by Amy Lethbridge, we are increasing the venues and event destinations that have specifically chosen us to provide service. Expanding on this for 2023 and 2024 is one key goal, as is building a wider diary of workshops that people can attend on a weekly basis. Our tasting bar when we first opened proved really popular, but sadly through covid we had to stop doing this. Opening again on set nights would really see the whole experience of The Cove realised.
